Our Canine Teams

Help us to reach our goal of 100 certified canine teams this year!

A CANINE TEAM consists of an owner/handler who is at least 18 years old and his/her dog.

We accept all breeds and ages beginning at 5 months old with veterinary authorization.

All our dogs must be “stranger friendly“ and pass our basic temperament and control evaluation before being considered for the program.  Once you pass the evaluation and choose to continue on to become a certified DogAbility team, you are expected to attend 4 training sessions in addition to 4 supervised sessions with our participants within a 2 month period.

Preparatory training sessions are held on Sundays and Mondays at 10:00 am. Supervised participant sessions are scheduled according to your availability.

To remain a certified canine team in good standing, we ask that all teams attend a minimum of 2 sessions per month, either weekdays and/or weekends.
