Later on, one of our participants who is hearing impaired, met Mya, our deaf dog. A great bond was formed between the two!

Meet Sergio -- the newest member of our FOD Squad (Fear of Dogs)!
Our Fear of Dogs program has had a 100% success rate in helping individuals of any age to overcome their fear enough so that they can acquire a dog of their own, run to greet one at the bus stop, actually relax and trust being a dog's company, and understand their body language and how wonderful so many of them really are.

Today was an exciting day at DogAbility Center!
We are pleased to have hosted a Canine CPR and First Aid Training class, where participants learned the life-saving skills needed to help their pets in an emergency. Thank you to Tom of Paws N Claws 911 for providing this important training.
Also, today some of our volunteers and therapy dogs attended "Learn About Pets Day" at the East Measdow Public Library where they were the stars of the show! Thank you to Jude for inviting us to participate in this community event.

We are thrilled to welcome 4 new Canine Activity Therapy Teams (CATTs) to our program. Cooper, Becca, DJ and Teddy began their training today at DogAbility Center. These dogs and their handlers are eager to participate in our upcoming sessions and events. Look out for them when you attend.

Those canine teams who couldn't make it to our Open House on Sunday joined us today. We're so happy that 4 additional canine teams have "passed" their aptitude evaluations and are now on their way to becoming Certified Activity Therapy Teams for DogAbility.

In addition to meeting many new participants at our Open House, we are delighted that 5 new canine teams have "passed " their aptitude evaluations and are now on their way to becoming Certified Activity Therapy Teams for DogAbility. We look forward to having all of them participating in our upcoming sessions.
Thank you to all of our dedicated and hard-working volunteers for all their time and effort. We want to especially thank Joanne from Macaroni Kid-Hicksville for helping to make this event successful with advertising and gifts. Also, a huge shout-out goes to Mike of Minutman Press for his gift certificate donation for the Chinese auction and to George of Chroma Paint for his colorful donation that helped us to spruce up our walls.

There was an accident out front of the DogAbility Center this morning. An out-of-control vehuicle crashed through our front glass window! Lucky for us, no dogs or people were harmed! However, our newly-decorated store front window now sports a huge wooden board. Never fear - we are still open for business while we await repairs.
